The study is divided into two parts: the first part sheds light on the letter and its author, while the other part deals with the edition of the letter’s content according to the principles of edition. This letter focuses on ‘Ilm al-bayan (science of style), only one of the three disciplines that compromise a classical study of rhetoric.
