<text>In this paper a theoretical model of the heat and mass processes in a tubular adsorber of a solid adsorption solar refrigerator is established. The modelling and the analysis of the adsorber is the key of such studies because of the complex coupled heat and mass transfer phenomena that occur during the working refrigeration cycle. This model consists of the energy equation in the adsorbent layers, the energy balance equation of the adsorber wall, and state equation of the bivariant solidvapour equilibrium using the Dubinin-Astakhov model to describe the phenomena of adsorption with the pair activated carbon AC-35/ methanol as an adsorbent/adsorbate. The influence of the main parameters on the system is also discussed.</text>

The model contains a detailed representation of the main components of the system that are the solar array, boost converter and the grid side inverter. A proper control of the DC/DC converter is developed in order to extract the maximum amount of from the photovoltaic generator. The grid interface inverter transfers the energy drawn from the PV module into the grid by keeping common dc voltage constant. The PQ control approach has been presented for the inverter. Modelling and control is carried out using the causal informational graph method. The simulation results under Matlab/Simulink show the control performance and dynamic behaviour of grid connected photovoltaic system.</text>

<text>Wind has been proven as a cost effective and reliable energy source. Technological advancements over the last years have placed wind energy in a firm position to compete with conventional power generation technologies. Algeria has a vast uninhabited land area where the south (desert) represents the greatest part with considerable wind regime. In this paper, an analysis of wind energy utilization as a viable energy substitute in six selected sites widely distributed all over the south of Algeria is presented. In this presentation, wind speed frequency distributions data obtained from the Algerian Meteorological Office are used to calculate the average wind speed and the available wind power. The annual energy produced by the Fuhrlander FL 30 wind machine is obtained using two methods. The analysis shows that in the southern Algeria, at 10 m height, the available wind power was found to vary between 160 and 280 W/m2, except for Tamanrasset. The highest potential wind power was found at Adrar, with 88 % of the time the wind speed is above 3 m/s. Besides, it is found that the annual wind energy generated by that machine lie between 33 and 61 MWh, except for Tamanrasset, with only 17 MWh. Since the wind turbines are usually installed at a height greater than 10 m, an increased output of wind energy can be expected. However, the wind resource appears to be suitable for power production on the south and it could provide a viable substitute to diesel oil for irrigation pumps and electricity generation.</text>

The hysteresis effect was distinctly observed in the range of temperature tested. Five sorption models were used to fit the experimental data. The GAB equation was the best model describing the equilibrium moisture data for desorption. The modified Halsey equation was the most suitable model for describing adsorption isotherms. Thermodynamic properties such as differential enthalpy and entropy were determined from moisture sorption data, using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation. The experimental data showed that enthalpy-entropy compensation theory was applicable for the moisture sorption behaviour of Artemisia herba-alba.</text>

<text>The global sustainability is a key word of the future energy system for human beings. It should be friendly to our earth. Hydrogen energy is a critical resource to sustainable energy development. Over the coming decades, rapid economic growth will necessitate expanded and diversified energy supplies. This study is proposed to illustrate the attention to the opportunities and possibilities of connecting the energy consumer in North Mediterranean countries, to the reservoir of the Great Sahara of North Africa using hydrogen as a solar energy carrier. It also discusses cooperation between North Africa and north sides of the Mediterranean that has been going on for a long time, in oil and natural gas industry, and why can not be done in solar hydrogen energy industry, which will reduce pollution and will last for ever. Clearly, North Africa is major bilateral partner with the Europe and the people of the two shares of the Mediterranean will be work together and to built strategic relationships for many decades. In the future, North Africa countries are wellpositioned to play a greater role in the Europe clean energy equation. Demographically, interregional migration due to economic concerns will decline. Now, there are good chances to start such cooperation for the benefits of all partners.</text>
