The modelling and prediction of wind characteristics in a region is a primary requirement to the development of the corresponding wind energy system. This paper studies the wind energy potential for Bamenda in the North-West Region of Cameroon, with geographical coordinates: latitude 5.96°N, longitude 10.12°E and an elevation of 785 m. The analysis is based on data obtained from NASA surface meteorology and solar energy dataset for 11 years 1983 to 1993 through the RETScreen software tool provided by CANMET Canada. Through an analysis using the Weibull distribution function, the Weibull shape k, and scale c, parameters are determined using the least square graphical method to be 6.938 and 2.022 respectively. The mean wind speed, the variance, the standard deviation, the most probable /speed and the wind power density are also estimated characterising the wind regime of Bamenda. Comparing these results with the measured ones, it is shown that the Weibull distribution can be used with acceptable statistical accuracy for prediction of wind energy potential of Bamenda. On présente dans cet article, les résultats d’une étude portant sur l’estimation du coût de l’électricité produite par différents types d’aérogénérateurs installés dans les régions de Sétif et Tiaret, deux sites localisés dans les Hauts Plateaux du Nord de l’Algérie. Cette étude est basée sur des données vent de l’Office National de la Météorologie (ONM) mesurées au niveau des stations de Sétif et Tiaret. Les données considérées portent sur dix années de mesures. Le traitement statistique des données a été effectué avec le logiciel WAsP. Il ressort que la vitesse moyenne annuelle du vent est de 3.46 m/s à Sétif et 5.07 m/s à Tiaret et ce, à 10 m de hauteur par rapport au sol. Nous avons ensuite déterminé les paramètres statistiques de Weibull (facteur de forme, k et facteur d’échelle, c) à 10 mètres, puis à différentes hauteurs (30, 50 et 70 m). Ces derniers ont été obtenus par extrapolation en utilisant une loi de puissance basée sur les paramètres de Weibull. Ensuite, toujours à l’aide du logiciel WAsP, trois modèles d’aérogénérateurs disponibles dans le commerce ont été retenus à savoir, Bonus 300 kW/33, Bonus 1.0 MW/54 et Vestas 2.0 MW/V80 et nous avons évalué leurs performances avec le calcul du facteur de capacité et de l’énergie annuelle produite par chaque type d’aérogénérateur, pour les deux régions. Un calcul économique a été ensuite effectué en utilisant la méthode PVC (Présent Value Cost). Il en résulte que le plus faible coût de production d’électricité éolienne est obtenu avec le modèle Vestas 2 MW/V80 avec un prix de revient du kilowattheure (kWh) de l’ordre de 0.0644 $/kWh à Sétif et de 0.0342 $/kWh à Tiaret. Afin d’améliorer les performances thermiques, le capteur est muni d’un double vitrage et les parois latérales sont inclinées par rapport à la verticale et sont recouvertes d’un mince film d’aluminium. La variation de l’inclinaison des parois latérales a une nette influence sur la production de chaleur. Ainsi les résultats des différentes configurations sont présentés et une étude comparative a abouti au choix d’une configuration permettant d’obtenir la température la plus élevée. Dans cette étude, les caractéristiques du vent sont analysées en utilisant les données de la vitesse du vent recueillies pour cinq stations météorologiques au Liban et disponibles pour au moins une année (2 ans pour Klaiaat, 10 ans pour les Cèdres, 7 ans pour Daher El Baydar, 2 ans pour Quaraoun et 1 an pour Marjyoun). La distribution de Weibull est utilisée pour modéliser la vitesse du vent à ces 5 endroits du Liban. Les paramètres de forme et d’échelle ont été estimés en utilisant quatre méthodes, la méthode de variabilité, la méthode d’écart-type, la méthode de densité de puissance et la méthode marocaine. Le but de cet article est de comparer les méthodes d’évaluation du potentiel éolien, ainsi que l’évaluation de la densité de puissance aux différentes altitudes. Il a été observé que les estimations en utilisant la méthode de densité de puissance ont donné le meilleur ajustement global de la distribution des données du vent. Les paramètres de forme et d’échelle varient considérablement au cours d’un mois. La variation annuelle de la densité de puissance varie entre 2397 W/m2 et 784 W/m2 à Daher El Baydar et aux Cèdres pour la valeur maximale et minimale. L’extrapolation de la vitesse du vent et des paramètres de Weibull augmente avec l’altitude et par conséquent, la densité de puissance aussi. The nonlinear inductance model allows us to develop a control strategy that gives high performance controller with a closed loop was designed on PI controller. Simulation results show the efficiency of the modeling method and validate the applicability of the model. L’étude du fonctionnement de la turbine éolienne en fonction des paramètres météorologiques est complexe et la modélisation des phénomènes physiques liés aux paramètres météorologiques est nécessaire. L’influence des paramètres météorologiques revêt des formes très diverses pour chaque chaîne de conversion et pour chaque site.
