<text>In this paper, the thermal performances of a box solar cooker were rated with F1 and F2 parameters as per Mullick’s procedure [1], the efficiency of the cooker was evaluated using energy and exergy analysis. The solar cooker was designed with an inclined aperture area, realized and experimentally tested at Applied Research Unit on Renewable Energies of Ghardaïa (32.39 °N, 3.78 °E, 463 m), Algeria. The developed cooker is equipped with one reflector mirror on its lid. The experiments have been carried out with the cooker empty, filled with one or two liters of water from 08:00 to 15:00 solar time, the thermal profiles of various components of the cooker were assessed at Ghardaïa site Sahara climatic conditions on clear days in both winter and summer months. According to the values of two figures of merits suggested by International Standards and evaluated by the experimental studies, the configuration with an inclined aperture area of the cooker resulted in good cooking performances, especially in winter when the sun’s elevation is low; keeping the realized cooker performances in range of the international standard tests. The results of this study indicate also that the average daily energy and exergy efficiency of the realized cooker was 16.2 % and 0.90 % respectively, during the experimental period, which indicate a significant difference between the results of energy and exergy analyses. Thus developing such a box solar cooker can improve the efficiency of the design and use a position of the system to prepare food in a shorter time.</text>

<text>Electrical power play a very important rule in 21th century, but non-conventional sources scale down day by day. Not only that concern for the environmental pollution around the world, so now a day’s photovoltaic (PV) power systems are getting more and more widespread with the increase in the energy demand. This paper proposed a Single-Phase nine level inverter with voltage control method using semi conductor power devices for photovoltaic systems. The proposed inverter system gives better voltage regulation, smooth results and efficiency compared to multi-level inverters. The inverter is capable of producing nine levels of output voltage levels (Vpv, 3Vpv/4,Vpv/2, Vpv/4, 0, -Vpv/4, -Vpv/2, -3Vpv/4, -Vpv). The proposed inverter was verified by using simulation of Matlab / Simulink software.</text>

<text>In this article, the study is based on the effect of initial steam curing using solar energy on the mechanical characteristics of concrete for precast concrete production. During the early hours of heating, the concrete reaches the minimum strength considered essential for the rotation of the molds, with which he is able to support loads without deform or loss of bearing capacity. The curing period and temperature, is an important parameter in the steam curing process. An experimental program was conducted to investigate the effect of hardening time by steam curing on the mechanical characteristics of concrete. The concrete specimens were cast with a water/cement ratio of 0.40 and were subjected to steam hardening according to two cycles of covering steam curing of two periods of the year hot and cold at 45 and 29 °C for each one 8 hours, then they are left in the open air cured for 3 and 7 days. The results show that a gain of time and shorter manufacturing lead times to reach the mechanical strengths (compressive strength and flexural) at 28 days in the free air after a one day steam curing and 3 days of hardening in the free air.</text>

<text>The prediction of the PV module temperature is necessary for the dimensioning of photovoltaic systems, particularly in desert areas where the very high temperature of the module can significantly affect the performance PV. Several mathematical models were developed to predict the temperature of the PV module. However, some models neglect the effect of wind speed (like NOCT). This factor, responsible of cooling PV module by convection, must be studied to predict better the evolution of the module temperature in any climate condition. For this, we followed the temperature of a monocrystalline silicon PV module. We then compare the evolution of the measured temperature with NOCT and SNL models according to the wind speed. The results show that even with the SNL model that takes into consideration wind speed, the predicted and measured temperature are similar only in high wind speed range.</text>
