During the past few years a great variety of multi-junction solar cells has been developed with the aim of a further increase in efficiency beyond the limits of single junction devices. In this work, the solar power conversion efficiency of InxGa1-xN based tandem solar cells was investigated. With this intention, one simulation of the spectral response and the current-voltage characteristic was carried out using a simulation program designed under ‘Visual Basic 5’ language for this reason. Our cal culation indicates that the attainable efficiency can be enhanced up to 34 % and 37% for tandems with double and triple junctions respectively, obtained under 1-sun AM1.5 illumination and at ambient temperature, using realistic material parameters. A comparison has been made of our results with those of other models. L’objectif du présent travail consiste en l’élaboration d’un logiciel de calcul de l’éclairement solaire destiné aux systèmes thermiques à concentration en Algérie. Le logiciel réalisé ‘CESAL2011’ permet une visualisation de l’énergie solaire numériquement et graphiquement pour les différents cas de poursuite appliqués à ces systèmes. Pour une meilleure exploitation du logiciel, nous avons réalisé une interface graphique avec le langage de programmation Delphi, les calculs ont été effectués à l’aide du modèle de ‘Capderou’. Une comparaison entre des valeurs de l’éclairement solaire mesurées et des valeurs calculées sur le site de Ghardaïa a été effectuée afin de valider le logiciel. Les résultats obtenus des tests et de la validation ont révélé que l’utilisation du modèle de ‘Capderou’, pour les systèmes à concentration, s’avère acceptable en adoptant quelques modifications. Le logiciel réalisé est un outil d’aide satisfaisant permettant le choix du meilleur type de poursuite solaire. Several commercial applications of microalgae are identified. They can be used to enhance the nutritional value of food owing their chemical composition, they play a crucial role in aquaculture and they can be incorporated into cosmetics. Currently, they are cultivated as a source of renewable energy. Indeed, biodiesel, one form of biofuels can be produced by microalgae. This biofuel has attracting increasing attention worldwide as a clean energy for the future to substitute conventional fuel. However, their production derived from conventional ways that are so expensive and polluant because they used fossil fuels and oilseeds (vegetable oils) or animal fats. In this paper, wild/type strains of chlorella “green microalgae” isolated from Algerian Sahara soil are tested for their ability to produce biodiesel. The results show that Chlorella sorokiniana strain Ce, under different culture conditions, accumulates some fatty acids which make the most suitable for the production of good quality biodiesel. Dans ce travail, des résultats expérimentaux relatifs au séchage de boues générées dans deux stations d’épuration d’eaux usées sont présentés. Les expériences ont été effectuées dans un sécheur convectif reproduisant le fonctionnement d’un sécheur à bandes. Pour chaque essai, 1 kg de produit humide est extrudé en cylindres de 12 mm de diamètre sur une grille perforée au travers de laquelle l’air chaud circule. Le produit est séché jusqu’à élimination de la totalité de l’humidité initialement présente. Les résultats obtenus montrent que le procédé est affecté par plusieurs paramètres, tout particulièrement les conditions externes, c’est-à-dire les propriétés de l’air de séchage, comme la température, mais aussi par des conditions internes, c’est-à-dire la nature des boues. Les résultats expérimentaux ont été modélisés. Pour le 1er type de boues, le modèle de Page a présenté les meilleurs résultats avec un coefficient de corrélation égal à 0.9996 et une erreur standard égale à 0.0081. Cependant, pour le 2ème type de boues, le modèle polynomial de 4ème degré donne des résultats comparables au modèle de Page, avec des coefficients de corrélation qui changent avec la température de l’air, mais qui avoisinent l’unité et avec des erreurs standard allant de 0.0037 et 0.081. La cinétique des réactions chimiques qui se produisent au sien des milieux granulaires carbonatés à haute température présente des caractéristiques spécifiques. Elle couvre une grande partie de la réactivité chimique qui est principalement irréversible. L’objet de cet article est de modéliser ces spécificités en s’intéressant aux thématiques thermo-hydro-mécaniques, aux phénomènes de transport et aux réactions chimiques dues aux dégagements de dioxyde de carbone (CO2) et au changement de phase eau - vapeur. Ces lois ont toutes une origine phénoménologique. De l’approche théorique de Perrin de Brichambaut, valable seulement pour un ciel totalement clair, l’éclairement solaire incident sur une surface horizontale a été calculé. Concerne l’estimation des éclairements incidents pour différentes inclinaisons et orientations et cela pour un ciel totalement clair, le modèle de Liu & Jordan a été sélectionné. Pour la détermination du type de ciel, nous utilisons la notion de nébulosité, qui est la fraction du ciel caché par l’ensemble des nuages visibles. Les conditions nuageuses sont donc calculées principalement en utilisant le facteur Kc ‘Cloud Attenuation Factor’, défini par Kasten et al. 1980. L’expression de Kc nécessite que des valeurs mesurées, en unité ‘Octas’, comme on les trouve dans les postes de la météorologie. Le travail consiste en la détermination de la nébulosité en fonction de l’irradiation globale journalière mesurée sur surface horizontale. Des exemples des journées de différents types de ciel pour des sites de Ghardaïa et Bouzaréah-Alger ont été étudiés et présentés pour la validation et la confrontation des résultats expérimentaux. Dans l’ensemble, la concordance des résultats théoriques et expérimentaux s’avère satisfaisante. Par conséquent, ce programme peut être couplé à une interface professionnelle, pour être manipulable de façon conviviale par les utilisateurs de bureaux d’étude, et particulièrement les enseignants et les chercheurs. For this we will use two methods namely the averaging theory of first order and the method of Melnikov on the same system to provide an upper bound for the number of periodic solutions which can bifurcate from the center with ε = 0. In the end, we will present some numerical examples in order to illustrate the theoretical results given by the averaging theory and Melnikov one. The work presented in this paper focuses on studying the application of doubly fed induction generators in wind energy production under micro-interruption fault. In this context, we set out to improve the performance of a wind turbine either from an energetic efficiency, or from the arrangement with behavioral of grid disturbances. To reach the maximum wind power extraction, wind turbine has to reduce their disconnection. For this reason grid operators impose, by theirs grid connection requirements, to wind turbine producer to support some grid disturbance. This paper deals with the behavior of wind turbine equipped with a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) under micro-interruption. A scheme tolerant microinterruption is proposed. A control strategy of the Unified Power Flow Control (UPFC) using PI controller is presented. And finally fuzzy logic controller is illustrated and compared to PI controller.
