لمّا كانت الظاهرة الدينية مشتركا إنسانيا، وهاجسا معرفيا، كان لزاما على الباحث النظر في الحقول المعرفية التي تناولت تلك الظاهرة وجعلتها موضوع بحث، من خلال بيان مناهج النظر فيها والوسائل المعتمدة لدراستها، لذلك يحاول هذا المقال رسم صورة شاملة لأهمّ المنجزات المعرفية الدارسة للظاهرة الدينية سواء ما تعلّق منها بالأطروحات الدينية أو الفلسفية أو العلمية الوضعية، الأمر الذي يثري مخزون الباحث العربي ويفيده منهجيا وإجرائيا. ince religion is a common human phenomenon and a cognitive concern, the researcher had to look at the cognitive fields that dealt with that phenomenon and make it the subject of research, by showing the methods for its consideration and the means for its study. This article therefore attempts to paint a comprehensive picture of the most important cognitive achievements in the study of the religious phenomenon, whether related to religious, philosophical or scientific theses. This enriches the Arab seeker's stock and benefits him systematically and urally.
تعتبر الكنيسة بوصفها المكان الأساسي لممارسة العبادة في الديانة المسيحية من أهم المعالم في اللاهوت والإكليروس المسيحي، ظهرت كمؤسسة دينية ممثلة للديانة المسيحية في القرن الأول ميلادي، ثم تطورت فيما بعد إلى نظام متكامل ومعقد، فرضته ظروف كثيرة من اختلاف المسيحيين أنفسهم في العقيدة، والاضطهادات المختلفة التي لحقت بهم، وتأثرهم بالأوضاع المحيطة من أحوال الرومان في سياسة أحوال دينهم، ومع مرور الوقت أصبحت الكنيسة مركز نشاط ديني واجتماعي، فازدادت قوتها وكثرت طقوسها المقدسة، وإذا رجعنا إلى ما يقره علماء الأديان وجدنا أن المسيح –عليه السلام- لم يأمر في حياته ببناء مثل هذه المؤسسة الدينية التي نشأت في ربوع العالم اليوناني بعيدا عن البيئة التي بشّر فيها المسيح برسالته ، ومع هذا فإن تاريخ الفكر المسيحي منذ البدايات المبكرة له حافلٌ بالإشادة بهذه المؤسسة، سواءً من حيث تكوينها، أو تنظيمها، أو الدفاع عنها والحث على التمسك والالتحام حولها، ومن هذه الكتابات ما تركه آباء القرن الأول والثاني المعروفون باسم الآباء الرسوليون، الذين ساهمت كتاباتهم بشكل كبير في التأسيس المبكر للكنيسة وتنظيمها وفق الشكل الموجودة عليه اليوم.
