شكل الشعر الأندلسي رافدا هاما من روافد الشعر العربي، وربما انتصب هذا الشعر خلال مراحل طويلة من تاريخ الأندلس نظيرا وندا للشعر المشرقي في عصوره المختلفة. وكافح الشعراء والنقاد الأندلسيون للظهور بمظهر التفرد والإبداع والأنوية بإزاء الجسم المشرقي المزدهي بأوليته وتاريخه الطويل. هذا من جهة ومن جهة أخرى فقد اعتُبر نتاج عدد لا يستهان به من شعراء الأندلس -المشبع بقيم الرفض والتمرد والاحتجاج والتفلت من الرقيب السلطوي (سلطة المركز السياسي والديني والثقافي واللغوي)- انفلاتا من القوالب النمطية ومن حاكمية الزمن ورتابته وتكلسه. واضعا السائد والعادي واليومي والمقدس موضع مسائلة واحتجاج صارخ أحيانا ومكظوم أحيانا أخرى. لقد حقق بعض الشعراء الأندلسيين طفرة حقيقية في التأسيس للصوت الأنوي وللهجة الفردية المضادة لأطروحات ومقولات الثقافة المركزية المغرقة في الطقوسية والقوالب المدحية والزمن الخطي الخاضع لمنطق القبيلة والجماعة. 
 tributary of Arab poetry. Perhaps this poetry, during long periods of the history of Andalusia, became a peer of oriental poetry in its various eras. Andalusian poets and critics struggled to appear unique, creative and egoistic in the face of the oriental body that boasts of its primacy and its long history. On the one hand, and on the other hand, it was considered the product of a significant number of Andalusian poets -imbued with the values of rejection, rebellion, protest and escape from the authoritarian censor (the authority of the political, religious, cultural and linguistic center) - breaking out of stereotypes and from the temporal rulership, its monotony and calcification. Putting the prevalent, the ordinary, the daily, and the ritualistic, into question and blatant protest at times, and repressed at other times. Some Andalusian poets have achieved a real leap in the foundation of the ego voice and the individual dialect against the theses and sayings of the central culture that is steeped in ritualism, eulogistic templates, and linear time subject to the logic of the tribe and the community.
